Facebook is relatively a stable system using php. I don't think .net would ever result in such a stable application...
By all means, those couple of users who reserved such usernames were smart enough to be UNIQUE people who are very easily identified by the whole world (since they're using default.aspx ...etc. :))) )
Of course, you can check out other users who got different username (other than default.aspx), like index.aspx, home.aspx...etc. :)))
