Yesterday, 10th of Feb 2008, Egypt won the African Cup of Nations that was in Ghana. You won't believe how the Egyptians celebrated that event in the streets and everywhere... Personally, I was home watching the match with my lovely wife and we had so much fun without leaving home... Unlike many others who partied in the middle of the streets. I even pictured some who put some fire in a circle-shape and danced inside of it... I, immediately, remembered the Satans when they used to do such weird stuffffffffff, acting savagely, feeling sooo powerful... This sometimes results in a bad way... People get crazy and may hurt each other... That was the actual story of the novel: "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding... I studied this novel at high school and I always remembered this quote that I learnt by heart: "... always there dormant below the surface of civilization"... I did really fear that something of that kind would have happened yesterday... but thank God, it went fine...
I also recall that I saw an ambulance car rushing through the crowd trying to reach its destination. I hope this was not really an emergency case like I always feel the drivers take advantage of the siren and empty space for themselves...
Tell me what do you think about whatever above...
